What is Chiropractic?
The practice of Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure and function. For example, the relationship between:
#1 – sitting at a desk all day
#2 – how that causes postural changes including tight muscles
…which then…
#3 – causes back and shoulder muscle and pain and reduced mobility
It’s a vicious cycle. Chiropractors look at the root cause of pain, identify the structures that are causing that pain, suggest lifestyle changes (i.e. in the above example, perhaps altering your ergonomics, or setting an alarm to make sure you’re getting up from your desk once an hour, etc.) and ultimately treat the problem, rather than applying a band-aid solution.
Chiropractic isn’t only for backs! Chiropractors are trained in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all things joint and muscle-related. This can range from back pain, to hip pain, from tennis elbow to foot pain.

Dr. Sarah uses many specialized techniques, including soft tissue techniques such as graston technique, activator technique, physiotherapeutic modalities such as IFC and Ultrasound, and in-office and at-home rehabilitation programs that are customized to each patient.
