About Dr. Sarah

Dr. Sarah MickelerDr. Sarah Mickeler is one of Toronto’s leading authorities on health, fitness, and the treatment of common musculoskeletal complaints. She is also a musician, with a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of British Columbia.

Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Sarah has been practicing chiropractic since 2004. Her goal is to get patients active again by providing natural alternatives for common muscle and joint ailments. She has helped many find optimal well being through the use of evidence-based chiropractic care in a friendly, warm environment.

Dr. Sarah regularly speaks and writes about health topics such as prevention and treatment musician’s injuries,  women’s health issues, and nutrition. She is also an avid athlete, with several marathons and triathlons under her belt. She has also just discovered Bikram yoga and is addicted, attending 4 or more classes per week.

Dr. Sarah treats neck pain without the use of manual neck adjustments. She also uses a number of techniques to return patients to optimal health, including:

  • Manual therapy
  • Soft tissue therapies such as the Graston Technique
  • Physiotherapeutic tools such as Ultrasound and low-watt interferential currents (IFC)
  • In-office and home stretching techniques

After hours, you’ll find Dr. Sarah in Toronto’s west end, often with her cuddly cats Molly and Rosie.  She plays clarinet recreationally, is learning to play the guitar and enjoys cooking, travelling, scuba diving and making wheel-thrown pottery.
